Sex Offender Registry Board

If you are convicted of a sex offense in Massachusetts, you will likely have a classification hearing with the Sex Offender Registry Board, also known as SORB, to determine if you should be classified as a Level 1, 2, or 3 sex offender. Classification determinations are made on a specific set of criteria that the attorneys at Tansley | Halloran have experience navigating for our clients. SORB decisions can be reviewed in the Superior Court and appealed. After a period of time, you may be eligible to reduce your classification level.

If you have received notice that the Sex Offender Registry Board is classifying you as a sex offender in Worcester County or throughout Massachusetts or you would like to find out if you can reduce your level, contact the attorneys at Tansley | Halloran today.
